Together with the Provincial Government and DOLE-5, the LGU Canaman headed by Mayor Nelson Legaspi, was able to distribute 50 units of NegoKart to 50 identified Canamanon street vendors that was held at Canaman People’s Center on September 23, 2021.

The Nego-Kart (Negosyo sa Kariton) is a project under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP). The project aims to assist the ambulant vendors in making their existing livelihood undertakings grow into profitable and sustainable business, making their income level at par with that of the minimum wage earners, at the least. The Nego-Kart project is implemented by the DOLE in partnership with the LGUs, private sector and other interested parties which shall co-share the provision of the aforesaid service/assistance.

The qualified beneficiaries were used to rent karts and spaces, now, they are equipped with Nego-Kart that would help them to grow into a more profitable ambulant business.

These NegoKarts will be a great help to the beneficiaries as the COVID-19 affected some who have an existing ambulant livelihood and to some who chose to start their business as they got displaced from their jobs.
